Campaign to Stop the Genocide in Darfur
In response to the ongoing atrocities being committed in the African Sudanese region of Darfur that have been officially labeled as acts of genocide, BAHA introduced a resolution at the 48th National Convention which urged both the United States government and the United Nations to apply active political and/or economic pressure on the government of the Sudan in order to bring about immediate cease and desist state of all violence being perpetrated against the victims of this genocide. The resolution was adopted by majority vote of the membership during plenary session.
